Schedule for flying at the RMS Tuas Flying Field-July 2008

Please take note of the flying schedule(date/from-to) at the RMS Tuas Flying Field for this month of July 2008:

For all Saturdays in July 2008, RMS Tuas Flying Field must cease all flying activities by 1700hrs instead of 1900hrs.

The RMS Tuas Flying Field is available for all Sundays and public holidays in July 2008 for members to fly UNLESS SPECIAL NOTICE.

Members who wish to fly in the above slots other than Sunday, please read the Procedures for Obtaining Air Clearance before flying your models. If you are not sure, please approach any RMS Exco for advice

Appointment of Advisor to the Club-Mr Patrick Chan

The executive committee is honoured that Mr Patrick Chan has accepted the appointment of an Advisor to the committee and the club.

We strongly believe, with his many years of experience, that he will be able to provide valuable advice to the club as we strive to improve the operation of the club and further the pursue of excellence in aeromodelling in Singapore.

Please take note of the flying schedule(date/from-to) at the RMS Tuas Flying Field for this month of May 2008:

All members who wish to fly in the above slots other than Sunday, please read the Procedures for Obtaining Air Clearance before flying your models. If you are not sure, please approach any RMS Exco for advice. In addition, member(s) MUST:

• Ensure that the models fly within 500m radius of the site
• To get realtime clearance from 203 Sqn Duty ATC Controller at Tel: 65105333 at least 10 minutes prior to the commencement of the flying and inform the ATC controller again once the flying is completed.
   

The RMS Tuas Flying Field is available for all Sundays and public holidays in May 2008 for members to fly UNLESS SPECIAL NOTICE.

AOCC Team Selection 2008

Dear members

Please take note of the following notice:

The Aeromodelling Federation of Singapore is pleased to announce details for the above-mentioned F3A aerobatics event to select 3 competitors to form the 2008 Singapore AOCC team (F3A) to be held from October 20 to 26 at Sui Nan Airport, Taichung City, Chinese Taipei (Taiwan).

Selection Date: 26 Apr 2008 Saturday (9.00 am to 3.00 pm)

Schedule: FAI F3A, P0-9

Venue: RMS Tuas

Note: Non-RMS members are required to pay $20.00 to cover RMS day membership fee for insurance purposes

Contest Director: Mr. Anthony Low, AFS F3A SIG.

Registration can be made to President Radio Modellers of Singapore at e-mail address: lownh@starhub.net.sg

Dateline for registration: 15 Mar 2008

Bulletins 1 & 2 of CAOCC 2008 are available online at: http://www.ctama.com.tw/caocc/

Should there be less than 3 registered for the team selection by 15 March 2008, the team selection will be cancelled, and those who have pre-registered for the selection by that date will have first priority to be on the Singapore team.

We look forward to your club members to participate and/or support in the above selections.

As such, the field will be closed for general flying on the 26th April (Saturday) until 3.00 pm. The field will be open for general flying after 3.00 pm.
